Well, I'm over half way to completing the list of concept art needed for chapter 1 of The Aoni Codex. I'm not terribly unhappy with the body of work though, truth be told, I think there's room for improvement and most of the inked works could use more detail. I am very happy with each character's face, though.

I pushed myself tonight with a serious deviation from my comfort zone when I drew the Shadow Demon. While the final product didn't quite meet what I'd envisioned, I think it's a huge step for me.

All in all, I'm still extremely excited about finishing the last three or four concept drawings this weekend and trying out Manga Studio Debut 4's word bubbles and panel layouts. If I'm able to "master" panel layout this weekend, I may post a test page. We'll see, though!
